Conferences and Events
You’ve invested months of planning and significant budget into your upcoming event and you want to capture all the goodness that’s going down! You may be a member association wanting to highlight the benefits of joining and capture all the fun your members will have. You may be a music and arts festival and want to preserve the experience. Or a tech show, or home show, or construction contractor’s convention. Whatever your thing, capturing the experience of your event is important.
Filming events poses some unique challenges. Often the action is moving fast, and there are is so much going on at once. The event venue is not always the most attractive location, and sound is a major challenge. And you probably have a number of goals for how you want to tell the story– promotional, recruitment, member profiles, capturing keynote adresses, breakout sessions and making sure to grab all the fun that’s going down between sessions.
My unique experience over the past 30 years as a documentary filmmaker has equiped me with the ideal toolset and workflow to meet these challenges. With a small team and minimal gear I can capture national-quality content on the fly. I’m accustom to filming fast-moving events as they unfold without compromising the sharp, cinematic look and strong story-telling I’m known for.
Don’t make the mistake of assuming anyone with a camera can capture your event. Take a look at some examples in my portfolio and reach out!
